Yesterday I went to downtown Washington and strolled along the Mall. Although not looking its best, due to building work on the reflecting pool, it is pretty impressive and very beautiful. I particularly enjoyed the Lincoln Memorial and I am sad to admit, I recited the Wedding Crashers scene in my head as I sat on the steps. "Hell of a season pal!"
Also saw the most powerful block in the world - where the IMF, World Bank and White House are located.
By the way, I hate to be vain, but I need to get some photos of myself up to prove I am actually on this trip! You never know, I may still be in Salisbury. That is the problem of travelling on your own and I always get embarrased asking people to take photos of me!
